Getting to the Villa:

1. Rent a car from the airport (rental company vans pick you up curbside)
2. Take a taxi
3. Order car service in advance

When you arrive at the Lakeside Villas you will need to pass through the guarded entry. Please note that it is best to remind us to call security in advance and let them know you are coming.  When asked by the guard– let them know that you are our guests. Our villa is number O (the letter O) 3 which you will see written as O~3. Proceed forward and you will bear right at a V and then continue all the way forward across a bridge to the last set of Villas on your left hand side and you will see the O~3 entrance with the parking designated in front of the villa.

Driving Directions:

From Airport - Take Hwy. 26 to San Juan and make a right to Minillas Tunnel. Take Hwy. 22 towards Bayamon and Dorado. After the first pay toll, take exit 24 on right, make right at end of ramp and left at light to Dorado on SR 693. Make a left at the fork onto 6693. At the end of 693 make a left at the traffic light. After 2 miles bear left at fork with 697 (at gas station). Follow 693, pass the Dorado Beach Hotel, then Cerromar Beach Hotel, then take first right into Bienvenides Road- shortly after Cerromar Beach Hotel and casino. Enter Lakeside Villas entrance on the right. Follow directions to the unit as described above.

What to Bring:

What you need to know upon arrival:

Each area and bedroom has it’s own air conditioning unit. In each room you will see a closet and there is a switch plate labeled A/C. Turn switch up to activate A/C unit per room.  There are 5 separate zones in the villa with a separate thermostat that you may set to your comfort level. Please turn off A/C when not in use.

The hot water tank is located in the laundry room which is off of the kitchen area, and directly beside the electrical panel you will see a red switch. When turned on it will illuminate and you will need to turn on this switch at least 15 minutes before you require hot water. When you are finished bathing please turn off.

All appliances are easy to use and are self explanatory including the washer and dryer.

Maid service prior to your arrival will assure that your beds are made and towels are available.

Also, please remember that there is no smoking in the villa or in the patio area at any time.  Also pets are not allowed.

Internet access is usually available.

Emergency numbers are posted in the kitchen.

In case of MEDICAL emergency you may also want to contact the above individuals for support in addition to 911. If you have any medical conditions you should have a medical plan upon arrival.

Getting to the beach and using the Lakeside facilities:

Just outside the back patio you will see the pool area and club house area with ping pong table, beyond that are located the tennis courts, basket ball hoop, playground and a little further down access to the beach and ocean. You will need a key to exit and enter the beach; you will find keys hanging in the kitchen. You can use any of these facilities during your stay. The tennis courts can be used at night as well. We have racquets at the villa in the laundry room that you can gently use.

There is also a map next to the keys illustrating how to get to the gate that takes you to the beach.  You will need a key (located on master chain) to walk through there. Please return the keys to that location when you are done. There should be two sets available. Let us know ASAP if they are not.

Next to Lakeside Villas, a 5 minute walk on the beach will bring you to the HyattVacation Resort. There is a beach, pool and restaurants that are still up and running and they also have a fun mini golf course. You can use the beach at no charge (just not the chairs…). Check with the resort if they offer a day pass for all facilities.

Excursions:

1 787 246 4612 or 787 807 4607 - Sigfredo – Dorado Tours- Tour Guide/ Driver - he can take 6 people to Rain Forest in van or a larger gang in a larger bus anywhere else on the island. Nice guy- great English.

Highly recommended activities include; hiking in the rain forest, horseback riding, Camuy caves, Loquillo beach, Old San Juan- sites and shopping, Bacardi Distillery, Bioluminiscience Bay and so much more. 

Watersports are available at the Hyatt Resort and mant other locations on the island.

Dining:

Walking distance dining includes - Zen Garden at the Hyatt or dine poolside at the Beach Bohio. For  more adventurous dining we have a couple of menus at the villa and are continuously collecting more- so feel free to add your recommendations.  Check out our guest book for recommendations from prior guests.

Upon departure:

• Return the 2 extra sets of keys to kitchen.
• Turn off the A/C and all lights.
• Turn of water switch.
• Make sure stove and toaster oven are off.
• Please take trash out to containers across the road.
• Please strip your beds and collect in central pile.
• Turn off television, CD players and any appliances.
• Please sign our guest book in the kitchen.
• Leave the maid service a note about any concerns you encountered.
• Lock back door to patio and front door.

Rates are flexible based on time of year and length of stay. We have rented the villa for 2 nights as well as 2 months!
